On July 28th I watched a football (soccer) match between Liverpool F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C., both of the English Barclays Premier League, played in Baltimore, Maryland at the M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.  The match was played at 1 p.m. in +90 degree weather before a largely pro-Liverpool F.C.crowd of +42,00 fans. The pitch was slow, the match was well contested, the heat was oppressive and the final ended in a nil-nil draw.

I watched match with my son Doni Dexter, Doni Dexter Photography.

The crowd of 42,273 fans was predominantly Liverpool fans.

A hotly contested match on a hot and slow pitch

Post-Match debriefing at the Alewife Pub in Baltimore. Having the time and opportunity to share the experience of the match with my son Doni  was PRICELESS. It is my hope that the next time we have this experience it will be at Anfield, the hallowed home of the Liverpool Football club. It’s a great reminder that “You Never Walk Alone”.
