"The whole is more than the sum of its parts."
When we have all the parts to something, how is it different from the whole thing? What needs to be added to make a whole?
First of all, we need a relationship and connection. The pieces are arranged and connected into a proper relationship to create the whole. Such "right relationship" is called "synergy." In a living system, another word for this is "health." When all of the parts of a living system are in right relationship to each other and to the system as a whole, that system is healthy. Your oral health is a component of dynamic synergy and your complete wellness.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, not only because there's synergy between the parts, but because the parts contribute to the whole, and manifest its essence, purpose and function.
Of course that's more to wholeness than this, there always is.
"There's more to this than that!" is a universal truth in our search for wholeness and quest for attaining health.
Our approach to providing your dental health care is based on recognizing and respecting the synergy of your oral health and total health, in consideration of the environment and community. The strength of my dental practice is directly related to the strength of the community.
