Where do you find your inspiration?

I find inspiration in anything that is left to be forgotten, visually touched by time, or retaken by nature.

Favorite thing to do in or around Eugene…

Hike, paint, listen to music, swim with my son.

Quote that inspires your creativity…

“A man’s life is only a vapor that vanishes in an instant. One should spend his life doing that which he enjoys. As short as life is, it is foolish to spend it doing only the things one hates.”
—Yamamoto Tsunetomo ; The Book Hagakure: The Book Of The Samurai.

Illuminated Antipathy by Kyle Hunter
September 28-December 23, 2019 (Q4)

Emotions drive us all. As an artist I identify loss, serenity, suffering, growth, and pain as motivation for creation. Depending on influential emotions and life circumstances, I may attempt to show beauty, portray death, expose horror, or share destruction. I value the ability to morph the negative aspects of existence, into a curious interpretation of the world around me. Please join me for a moment while I illuminate antipathy.

A glimpse from the darkness by Kyle Hunter
April-June 2018 (Q2)
The weight of this life can be directly contrasted by the emptiness of death. As individuals our perspective as to what is positive or negative, horrible or pleasant, frightening or comforting all depends on one’s own experience during their time on this earth. Please take a moment in time, to view things from a different lens, learn what it means to live in darkness, and look into the light…
